The back-to-school lineup also includes pre-registration for one of C Spire’s first new 4G LTE® smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S® III, which is scheduled to arrive soon on the nation’s first personalized high speed mobile broadband network.

Operating on C Spire’s 3G mobile broadband network, the other two new Android smartphones include:

  • HTC One™ V, which features an amazing camera, an authentic sound experience with Beats Audio, Android™ 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich mobile operating system, a 5 MP camera capable of taking photos while simultaneously recording 720p HD video and snapping still images during video playback, a 3.7-inch WVGA super LCD2 display, a speedy Qualcomm®™ Snapdragon S3 1 GHz processor with 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of storage and a 1,500mAh non-replaceable battery.
  • Samsung Galaxy S™ II, which features a stunning and colorful Super AMOLED™ 4.52-inch touchscreen, a powerful Samsung Exynos™1.2 GHz dual-core processor, Android™ 2.3 Gingerbread mobile operating system, dual cameras, including 8 MP rear-facing camera-camcorder that records HD video at 1080 p and a 2 MP front-facing camera, 16 GB of memory and a replaceable 1800 mAh Lithium-ion battery.

The Samsung Galaxy S® III features a brilliant 4.8 inch Super AMOLED™ touchscreen display, a Qualcomm®™ Snapdragon S4 1.5 GHz dual core processor, Android™ 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich mobile operating system, 16 GB of onboard storage, an 8 MP camera with 1080p HD quality recording and a removable 2100 mAh battery.

The company’s initial launch of 4G LTE® mobile broadband services in 20 markets beginning in September will cover 2,700 square miles, a population of 1.2 million and more than 360 cell sites. The new service will provide four out of every 10 consumers and businesses with wireless data speeds up to 10 times faster, according to Wade Smith, vice president of Products and Innovation for C Spire Wireless.

“Managing calendars, schedules, school and social activities and keeping in touch with family and friends has never been easier with the helpful features and applications available through C Spire’s lineup of new and exciting smartphones on our personalized network,” Smith said.

As part of its back-to-school efforts, C Spire is making it easier for consumers with service from competitors to switch to the nation’s only personalized network with phone trade ins up to $125 per device and “No Work” switch kits that take the hassle out of changing wireless providers and offer incentives like accessory discounts, free activation and device discounts.

“Our No Work switch kits let consumers choose a plan that’s personalized just for them with a choice of infinite data, enrollment in our PERCS rewards program, personalized app recommendations with our unique SCOUT app and much more,” Smith said.

The company also provides a full suite of voice and data plans for individuals, families and small businesses with infinite data options that offer savings up to $30 a month over tiered data plans from AT&T and Verizon.

With average back-to-school spending expected to increase 14 percent this year, Smith said consumers are focused more than ever on good overall value and quality for their consumer technology purchases. Mobile phones and other consumer electronics are expected to comprise a large share of the $688 in average pending for a person with school-age children, according to a recent survey conducted for the National Retail Federation.

“C Spire, with our focus on personalized wireless plans, devices and services, offers the best overall value in the wireless industry today,” Smith said. “Customers experience this unique personalization in apps and content that fit them, services that anticipate their needs, and rewards they get just for using their phone in new ways.”
